paula deAnda

born November 3, 1989 s an American pop singer-songwriter and actress. She first came to prominence with her first single "Doing Too Much" and subsequent release "Walk Away " from her debut self-titled album. DeAnda was born in San Angelo, Texas to Steven and Barbara DeAnda, a restaurant manager and a RN school nurse.
She is of Mexican descent and has three siblings, including two sisters, Brandi and Jessica and a brother, Sterling.[citation needed] At age six she began taking piano lessons and was soon singing at functions around town at the recommendation of her piano teacher. She also sang the national anthem at local football games . In 2002, DeAnda's family decided to move to Corpus Christi, Texas in order to help further her career in music because Corpus Christi had a reputation as a music hub. She attended Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi.
